The crowd went wild as the dogs hit the catwalk this Sunday at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter’s annual event, Mutts Mania. The event was an enormous success raising over $30,000 with over 1,300 people and over 600 dogs in attendance. In the 12 years since its inception, it was the highest attended Mutts Mania yet. This year’s event helped find forever homes for approximately 20 shelter dogs. The day’s highlight was a fashion show sponsored by Sent-Well with a panel of celebrity judges including superstar Ice-T (Law and Order SUV), Coco (Ice Loves Coco) with their supermodel dogs Spartacus & Maximus, Elisa Jimenez (Project Runway) and Karen Biehl (NYC life’s Doggie Moms). Dogs of all kinds came out to strut their stuff for this great cause. The fashion show featured NYC models who also donated their time, and dogs in their haute couture finest from sequin gowns to feathered headresses.
