A sunny afternoon on Sunday, Sept. 23, brought more than 1,300 pet lovers and their dogs to Lurker Park in East Hanover to enjoy Mutts Mania, an annual fundraiser for Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter of East Hanover. Acura of Denville and Autosport Honda were the title sponsors of this event which raised more than $30,000 for the no-kill, private shelter which will save more than 800 lives in 2012.
The highlight of the afternoon was a canine fashion show “Unleash the Love” sponsored by Sent-Well. Celebrity judges Ice-T of “Law and Order SVU” and his wife, Coco, who stars with him in the reality hit “Ice Loves Coco,” as well as Project Runway contestant Elisa Jimenez and the Milk Bone cover dog, Chihuahua Eli, filled the panel of judges for the event.
